Criteria for V.V.S. Awards in 12th IAP

Because it is obviously easier to shoot down a plane in a flight simulator than in real life our awards criteria will be reasonably fair, but tough. I have borrowed some of Cfran's suggestions for JG52 and modified them somewhat to follow Stalin's Order number 299.

One "human" online kill=Two AI online kills

After completing your first mission successfully and surviving you will receive the Medal of Valor

After 6 kills you receive the Red Star

After 12 kills you receive the Red Banner

After 20 kills you are awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union

If at any time during an AI War mission, you die, you kills toward your awards return to 0...so to win a medal, you will need a "kill string"...once you are awarded a medal you may permanently wear it for the rest of your career in 12th IAP regardless of what happens in future missions.
Any HUMAN kill in an online war mission stands towards your points total and is not erased by your death online.

Also any kills that accrue within 9 combat sorties (1 combat flight week) count towards medals and your "kill string". If you die after 9 combat sorties, you are given a clean slate and you are allowed to keep your previous "kill string" tallies.

You may win multiple kill awards during your career just as real VVS officers did.

Special awards:

After successful completion of any campaign with the squad you will earn a campaign medal (Defense of Moscow, for example)

Order of Lenin: 5 kills in any one mission ("ace in a day") or entire squad receives for a 5:1 kill ratio

Mission awards:

For successful completion of 5 missions: Patriotic War 2nd Class (or Glory 3rd Class at ranks below Kapitan)

One "human" online kill=Two AI online kills

For successful completion of 10 missions: Patriotic War 1st Class
